Special Handloom Expo to Be Held at Delhi Haat from August 1 to 15

New Delhi, August 02nd 2025: To mark National Handloom Day, the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, will organize a Special Handloom Expo at Delhi Haat, INA. The exhibition will run from August 1 to 15, 2025.

The 11th National Handloom Day will be celebrated nationwide on August 7. On this occasion, outstanding weavers will be honoured with the Sant Kabir Award in recognition of their contribution to the handloom sector.

The expo will bring together handloom weavers, self-help groups, cooperatives, and producers from across the country. Visitors will get to explore a rich variety of traditional and modern handloom products including sarees, shawls, stoles, dress materials, fabrics, and tweeds — all available for purchase.

This event aims to promote India’s handloom heritage and provide better business opportunities for weavers by connecting them directly with national and international buyers. It will also help weavers gain wider recognition and market access for their products.

The exhibition offers a unique platform for exporters, buyers, wholesalers, and general customers to engage directly with handloom producers. It not only celebrates India’s rich weaving traditions but also supports the goal of making local weavers self-reliant.
