Business France India has hosted the 2024 edition of the Indo-French Healthcare Conference, a landmark event highlighting the expertise and scope of the French and the Indian healthcare sectors, on 17th September 2024, at the Embassy of France in India. Organized in partnership with the French Institute in India (IFI) and Medical Technology Association of India (MTaI) as knowledge partner, this conference was inaugurated by the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr Thierry Mathou along with Dr. Vinod K. Paul, member of NITI Aayog, as esteemed chief guest of the event.

Dr Vinod K. Paul highlighted the importance of the Indo-French partnership in healthcare and potential ways of collaboration.

This event has seen the participation of about 85 attendees and had the support of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), CEFIPRA, Invest India, the French Healthcare association and APHP.

The Indo-French Healthcare Conference, which brought together healthcare professionals, medical experts and industry leaders from both France and India, aimed to create dialogues and foster collaborations between leading healthcare companies of the two countries. While the French healthcare system is renowned for its high-quality medical care and universal coverage, India’s healthcare ecosystem is one of the fastest growing in the world with significant investments in healthcare infrastructure. This conference included diverse topics of discussion ranging from new age technologies to medical research and development as well as opportunities for the growing Indian healthcare industry and areas of cooperation in this field between the two nations.

On the occasion of the Indo-French Healthcare Conference, the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr Thierry Mathou, remarked: “I am delighted to reaffirm France’s commitment to advancing the longstanding collaboration between our two countries in healthcare, which has been exceptional since COVID.
