TORONTO, November 15, 2025 — Porter Airlines begins roundtrip service today between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Mexico, marking the latest expansion of its sun network. This new route brings Mexico’s vibrant Pacific beaches closer to Canadian travellers.
Seasonal service to Puerto Vallarta starts with three weekly roundtrip flights, increasing to five weekly beginning Dec. 14. Nonstop flights from Hamilton and Ottawa to Puerto Vallarta launch in December, expanding sun destination options for travellers.
Flights are operated with the Embraer E195-E2. The 132-seat aircraft features a two-by-two seating configuration, meaning no middle seats for any passenger. All travellers enjoy free, fast WiFi, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, and premium Canadian snacks – all part of Porter’s elevated economy experience.
Travellers can choose the experience that best meets their needs with all perks included with PorterReserve fares for priority check-in, extra legroom, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals. Individual perks can also be added à la carte when booking PorterClassic.
This inaugural flight is part of Porter’s extensive winter schedule offerings to Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Florida, Arizona, and California. The network complements flights from joint venture partner Air Transat, offering even more choice for destinations, travel dates, and flexible bookings.
VIPorter members can redeem points for sun market travel on Porter and Air Transat, starting at 10,000 points one way.
