New Delhi, May 28: Rooftop solar installations have recorded strong growth in Delhi, supported by government subsidies and sustained awareness initiatives, according to Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL).
The utility said the rise in adoption reflects increasing consumer interest in clean energy solutions, aided by improved affordability through financial incentives and targeted outreach programmes across residential and commercial segments.
Officials noted that awareness campaigns and community engagement efforts have played a key role in encouraging households to shift towards rooftop solar systems, helping reduce electricity costs while promoting sustainable energy use.
The growing uptake is also aligned with India’s broader clean energy transition goals, with rooftop solar seen as a key driver of decentralised renewable power generation.
Tata Power-DDL said it remains committed to supporting customers in adopting green energy solutions and contributing to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
