LegitScript Names Dan Frechtling as Senior Vice President to Lead Product and Strategy

PORTLAND, Ore., September 12, 2025 — LegitScript, the leader in merchant and product certification and monitoring, today announced Dan Frechtling’s appointment as Senior Vice President, Product and Strategy. In this role, he will drive product innovation, including advancing Xray, the company’s AI-driven risk intelligence platform. Frechtling will also expand the company’s expertise in merchant intelligence, especially in healthcare and other high-risk verticals. He will also be responsible for strengthening partnerships with leading platforms, marketplaces, and payment companies.

“As fraud schemes grow more sophisticated and regulators tighten oversight, Dan is joining LegitScript at an exciting time of growth and opportunity,” said Scott Roth, chief executive officer at LegitScript. “Dan’s proven expertise in risk management, coupled with his track record of scaling innovative solutions for global enterprises, makes him the right leader to help accelerate our product vision and extend the impact of our technology across industries.”

Building on over a decade of experience combating merchant, seller, and advertising risk, Frechtling previously served as president of G2 Risk Solutions and CEO of Boltive. Across these roles, he worked with the world’s largest payments companies, online platforms, and brands to identify and mitigate emerging risks.

“Fraud is evolving with AI, and companies that fail to keep pace face risk exposure, regulatory action, and reputational harm,” said Frechtling. “At a time of consolidation in the industry, businesses need solutions that combine technology with extensive industry knowledge, and I’m excited to join a trusted company rooted in accuracy and transparency, not just data at scale.”

LegitScript’s focus on combining AI-driven monitoring, domain expertise, and curated market intelligence empowers businesses to stay ahead of emerging threats. By layering expert review on top of AI, the company delivers persistent monitoring that uncovers risks automation alone can miss. Frechtling’s addition strengthens LegitScript’s ability to provide trusted solutions to organizations facing increasingly sophisticated challenges.

Frechtling earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and economics from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
