10th November 2025: Ran Baas, The Palace, Punjab’s first heritage luxury hotel owned by Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, has been awarded Best Hotel Conversion at the AHEAD Asia 2025 Awards.
Organised by Sleeper Magazine, the AHEAD (Awards for Hospitality, Experience and Design) Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in architecture, design, and guest experience within the global hospitality industry.
The recognition for Ran Baas, The Palace marks a milestone for Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels. The hotel, once among the oldest surviving Sikh forts in Patiala, has been meticulously restored and transformed into a 35-suite luxury palace that blends Rajput and Sikh influences with contemporary design.
Ran Baas, The Palace features Neel, an all-day dining restaurant, and The Patiala, a vibrant space inspired by the region’s music and celebratory spirit. The hotel is a member of Relais & Châteaux, placing it among the world’s most distinguished and independent luxury hotels.
