Bloom Energy Honors Louisville First Responders

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept 19 — Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) continues its season-long partnership with ESPN Radio’s College Football Campus Tour this week in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ahead of the Cardinals-SMU matchup, Bloom visited Engine 16 / Truck 3 and contributed to the Louisville Fire Foundation, a nonprofit that supports Louisville firefighters through training, fire safety education, community programs and assistance for firefighters and their families.

Located near the University of Louisville, Engine 16 / Truck 3 serves one of the city’s busiest districts and responds to approximately 2,000 emergency calls each year.

“Every community depends on people who are ready to answer the call when help is needed most,” said Natalie Sunderland, Chief Marketing Officer at Bloom Energy. “We’re honored to support the Louisville Fire Foundation and recognize the firefighters and first responders who serve this community every day. At Bloom, we understand the importance of reliability, and we’re proud to celebrate the people who keep their communities safe.”

“This contribution will make a meaningful difference for our department, allowing us to provide resources to our members of the Louisville Fire Department and the community they serve. We’re grateful to Bloom Energy for supporting the firefighters who work every day to keep our community safe and prepared.” – Louisville Fire Foundation President, Brian Meurer

Bloom will also be on site Saturday during the tailgate ahead of the Louisville Cardinals’ matchup against the SMU Mustangs, where fans can stop by, play a game and learn more about how Bloom’s fuel cell technology powers critical infrastructure across the country.
