Flipkart and Netflix Make World-Class Entertainment an Earned Shopping Benefit for Millions of Indians

Bengaluru, July 31: Flipkart and Netflix today announced a partnership that enables Flipkart Plus members to earn a Netflix Mobile Plan every month through their regular shopping, without a separate subscription or bundled recharge. The partnership brings together two experiences that are already part of customers’ everyday lives, in a simple and rewarding way. It is the first time in Indian e-commerce that Netflix, the world‘s leading entertainment service, can be earned through everyday shopping rather than purchased separately or bundled with another service. The benefit will go live on August 1,2026.

How It Works:

The mechanic is straightforward:

●     Flipkart Plus members complete four qualifying orders of ₹299/- or more within a calendar month

●     Qualifying orders can be placed across FlipkartFlipkart Minutes, and Flipkart Grocery

●     Once the fourth qualifying order is completed, the Netflix Mobile Plan is unlocked for the next 30 days— giving members a month of Netflix, including its full slate of Indian and global films and series

●     The benefit is activated directly through the Flipkart app — no separate login, no additional payment

●     The benefit resets after 30 days from qualification and must be re-earned through the same shopping behaviour

●     Customers who are not yet Flipkart Plus members qualify automatically after completing 15 orders within 12 months at no extra cost

Where Shopping Meets Entertainment

What makes this partnership distinct is the model itself,  the Netflix benefit is not purchased or pre-included. It is earned through shopping behaviour, which means the more a customer engages with Flipkart‘s ecosystem — across daily essentials, grocery, and quick commerce through Flipkart Minutes — the more consistently they can access Netflix‘s library of acclaimed Indian and global titles. Shopping and entertainment, two things that are already part of everyday life for most Indians, now work together in a way they have not before.
