In a significant step toward sustainability and cost-efficiency, two of Kia’s largest automobile showrooms in Kurnool and Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) have successfully transitioned to solar power, following the installation of state-of-the-art 200-kilowatt rooftop solar systems by Orb Energy, a leading provider of solar energy solutions to businesses across India. These showrooms have embraced renewable energy, achieving substantial financial savings and operational benefits as a result of their move to solar.
Each Kia Showroom adopted a 100-kilowatt rooftop solar system to reduce energy expenses and promote environmentally responsible operations. Installed within the past year, the systems have already generated a significant impact, delivering approximately ₹20 lakhs in annual electricity cost savings and achieving a swift payback period of just 3 years and 4 months. Since commissioning, the showrooms have achieved 100% daytime energy offset from solar, effectively eliminating reliance on conventional power sources.
