New Delhi, June 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized that close cooperation between the Centre and state governments will be crucial in achieving the vision of a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, by 2047.
Addressing a gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of collaborative governance, stating that the country’s development goals can only be realized through coordinated efforts across all levels of government. He stressed that both the Centre and states have a shared responsibility in accelerating economic growth, improving public services, and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.
PM Modi noted that India has made significant progress in infrastructure development, digital transformation, social welfare, and economic reforms over the past decade. He said the next phase of growth would require stronger partnerships, effective policy implementation, and active participation from every state to ensure that development reaches all sections of society.
The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of cooperative federalism, describing it as a key pillar of India’s growth journey. He called upon states to work together, share best practices, and leverage their unique strengths to contribute to the nation’s long-term development agenda.
According to the Prime Minister, the vision of Viksit Bharat is not merely a government initiative but a national mission that requires the collective efforts of governments, industries, institutions, and citizens alike. He expressed confidence that with unity, innovation, and a shared commitment to progress, India can emerge as a developed nation by the centenary of its independence in 2047.
