Kishtwar, June 17: In a significant step towards strengthening weather forecasting and disaster preparedness infrastructure, an Automatic Weather Monitoring Station has become operational in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The newly commissioned facility is expected to provide real-time weather data, enhancing the accuracy of forecasts and supporting timely weather-related advisories for residents, farmers, and local authorities.
Officials said the station will continuously monitor key meteorological parameters, including temperature, rainfall, humidity, wind speed, and atmospheric conditions.
