New Delhi, 3 October 2025: Lakmē today announced that iconic couturier Tarun Tahiliani will present at the Lakmē Grand Finale at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI on October 12, 2025. This season, the Grand Finale will spotlight Lakmē’s newest beauty statement the Lakmē Be-Jewel collection – a modernized take on maximalism that celebrates luminosity, soft glam, and diffused shimmer created for Indian skin tones.
The showcase opens with Tarun Tahiliani’s Bejewelled collection, a modern, layered ornamentation that draws on India’s inheritance of craft, drape, and jewels. Jackets, kimonos, and jewel-printed bombers gleam like armour, while fluid chiffons and satins in emerald, aubergine, amethyst, and ruby soften the silhouette. Garments are paired with pearls and jewellery carried as belts, bags, and talismans that glint against the body. Much like Lakmē’s Be-Jewel, radiant without excess, Tahiliani’s vision transforms the language of adornment into a contemporary expression of glamour and lightness.
Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President & Head of Marketing, Lakmē, said: “Creatively, this collaboration is a true meeting of minds — a co-storytelling moment where Lakmē brings a reimagined version of maximalism that is luminous, expressive, confident, and effortlessly wearable, all rooted in our Be-Jewel ethos. Tarun Tahiliani’s mastery of drape, embellishment, and Indian craft embodies the same spirit. Just like we constantly do at Lakmē, reinventing codes and modernizing them for the Indian consumer, Tarun takes traditional Indian elements and translates them into contemporary couture. His ability to reinterpret these codes makes him the perfect collaborator to show how fashion and beauty together can convey a softer, radiant glamour for today’s Indian woman.”
Tarun Tahiliani added: “To be bejewelled is to be adorned not only with gems, but with memory, craft, and the many textures of our land. With this collection, I wanted to explore adornment in its modern form where drapes, jewel tones, and embellishments evoke radiance without excess. It is my interpretation of India Modern: sculptural, sensual, and light enough to move effortlessly from day into evening. I am delighted to return as the Grand Finale designer with Lakmē for Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI. My hope is that this showcase inspires women to shine in their own presence, as much as in what they wear.”
The Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI Grand Finale featuring Tarun Tahiliani will be held on October 12, 2025, in New Delhi.
