10 November 2025: The Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and CSE (AI & ML) at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM), Whitefield, Bengaluru, successfully concluded the third edition of their flagship 24-hour hackathon – GCEM Hacks 3.0,
The hackathon brought together young innovators, developers, and tech enthusiasts from across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to ideate, collaborate, and code solutions for pressing issues in healthcare technology. Over a span of 24 hours, participants showcased creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as they built impactful solutions addressing community and health-based challenges.
Winners:
• 1st Prize: Team AXRIGA – Rathinam Technical Campus, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
• 2nd Prize: Team T7thunderstorms – Gopalan College of Engineering and Management
• 3rd Prize: Team HexaHer – CMR Institute of Technology
The winning ideas focused on practical healthcare innovations – from building a connected system to improve ambulance response and blood availability, to designing a digital tool that empowers ASHA workers through real-time data and patient tracking, and exploring predictive models for oral cancer progression.

Student across Karnataka including the state of Tamil Nadu participated to the event with full zeal and coded actively for various innovative solutions in the area of health-care for a continuous 24 hours. We had over 100 talented participants from various colleges with diversity of more than 60% of the female students showing the women-empowerment.”
The event truly celebrated creativity, collaboration, and the spirit of innovation among young tech enthusiasts.
