Mumbai, May 30: This World Environment Day, Pause, Pali Hill’s plant-based café is teaming up with Bombay Closet Cleanse for a two-day thrift and lifestyle pop-up on 5th and 6th June 2026, from 11 AM to 9 PM. Bringing together pre-loved fashion, plant-based food, conscious shopping, and a community of like-minded people, the collaboration celebrates sustainability in a way that feels fun, stylish, and accessible.

Built around the idea that thrifting gives clothes a second life instead of creating new demand, the initiative encourages more mindful shopping habits. In fact, extending a garment’s life by just nine months can reduce its carbon, water, and waste footprint by up to 20% – proving that small choices can make a big impact. The collaboration also ties in naturally with Pause’s philosophy of conscious, plant-based living and community-led experiences.
As a café that promotes thoughtful food choices and community-led experiences, Pause becomes the perfect space for this collaboration – bringing together like-minded individuals who believe sustainability can be both accessible and aspirational.
Alfiya the Co-Founder of Bombay Closet Cleanse said,
“This was honestly a no-brainer for us. Pause’s ethos of love for the planet, conscious consumption, and sustainability aligns perfectly with everything we’re building at Bombay Closet Cleanse. Having worked with Amy in the past, and now seeing how genuinely passionate she is about creating mindful spaces and conversations, we’re thrilled to collaborate on this together. Our mission has always been to create a platform and community for people who want to live more intentionally. Creating spaces and events like these helps make mindful living feel more accessible, exciting and collaborative.”
Guests can expect Y2K fashion, celeb closets, homegrown and designer labels, upcycled merch, accessories, curated thrift finds, plant-based bites and beverages, and a chance to connect with Mumbai’s growing conscious community. Visitors can also shop curated gems from the closet of Pause’s Co-Founder Amy Aela—saving the planet and looking good can absolutely go hand in hand.
Amy Aela adds,
“I’ve always believed that conscious living starts with the small choices we make every day – whether it’s the food we eat, the brands we support, or the way we consume fashion. Collaborating with Bombay Closet Cleanse felt incredibly aligned because it brings together sustainability, individuality, and mindful living in a way that feels easy, fun, and accessible. We wanted to create a space where people can thrift, connect, enjoy plant-based food, and celebrate World Environment Day a little more consciously.”
All proceeds from the initiative will be donated to YODA Mumbai, an animal welfare organisation. Guests are also encouraged to donate or drop off their pre-loved clothes, accessories, books, and home décor items at Pause.
This World Environment Day, Pause Cafe and Bombay Closet Cleanse invite the city to look good, shop consciously, enjoy plant-based bites, and make small but meaningful choices for the planet.
