Virat Kohli’s mother gets first dose of Covid jab at Indian Spinal Injuries Centre

Mrs. Saroj Kohli, mother of Indian skipper Virat Kohli received her first dose of coronavirus vaccine at Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC), New Delhi and appealed to people to take the vaccine according to their turn.

Expressing her happiness on getting the vaccine, Mrs. Kohli said, “Today I have taken my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at ISIC. I would like to appreciate our scientists and doctors for their significant role to strengthen the worldwide fight against Covid-19. I request all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India Covid-19 free.”

“I am feeling happy and relieved now that my mother has received her first dose of the vaccine. I would urge everyone eligible to get their dose when their turn comes and follow all precautions including hand washing, social distancing and mask wearing,” Vikas Kohli said.

Dr. HS Chhabra, Medical Director & Chief of Spine Indian Spinal Injuries Centre said, “It’s good to see the response of people for the vaccination. We are taking all necessary precautions for a safe and effective vaccination and cover as many people as we can. A suitable area on the ground floor of the hospital has been demarcated for vaccination with all the precautions including proper sanitization, thermal check, social distancing and mask discipline. We have created separate enclosures for frontline workers and common citizens getting inoculated. If someone develops problems after the vaccination, ISIC has an Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) Committee which includes doctors from specialities such as emergency, internal medicine and ICU to take care
