New Delhi, May 12: India and Norway are set to strengthen cooperation in energy, maritime affairs, renewable technology, pharmaceuticals and sustainable development during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Norway on May 18–19, 2026.

The visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in over 40 years, will include bilateral talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and participation in the 3rd India-Nordic Summit in Oslo.

Both countries are expected to explore partnerships in green hydrogen, offshore technologies, low-carbon solutions, port digitization and clean energy. Several agreements and business collaborations may also be announced during the India-Norway Business and Research Summit.

Trade, investment and regional security issues are likely to feature prominently in discussions, alongside efforts to deepen cooperation between India and Nordic nations in technology, sustainability and innovation.
