May 13: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s continued focus on boosting exports, advancing free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations, and strengthening engagement with global investors.
He said India is actively working to expand its export base by supporting domestic industries, improving competitiveness, and opening new market opportunities across regions.
Goyal also noted steady progress in ongoing FTA discussions with key partner countries, aimed at improving market access for Indian goods and services while attracting greater foreign investment.
On the investment front, he emphasized that India remains a preferred global destination, with sustained interest from international companies looking to expand operations in manufacturing, technology, and services.
He added that these combined efforts are aligned with India’s broader goal of strengthening its position in global trade and driving long-term economic growth.
