India March 21st, 2024: The Indian School of Business (ISB) has long fostered innovation and entrepreneurship, and is proud to announce the launch of a new programme, I-Venture Immersive (ivi), led by I-Venture @ ISB, at the Startup Mahakumbh in New Delhi.
ivi is a world-class entrepreneurship programme designed for first-time entrepreneurs, where vision meets venture in an experiential, intense, transformative, 6-month, full-time, on-campus experience at ISB Hyderabad.
As India’s entrepreneurial landscape flourishes, there is an anticipation of a surge of entrepreneurs, women and men, young and old, from big and small cities, starting up, creating jobs, and contributing to the economy. But starting up comes with its share of challenges and risks. That’s why ISB is stepping in.
The mission is to equip first-time entrepreneurs with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape. ivi is more than an incubator, more than a school. This is a safe place for entrepreneurs to test their ideas and build a viable venture.
This is not an MBA programme. Students don’t need to take a CAT or GMAT exam or even need a college degree. All they need is passion to excel and solve a problem with commitment and innovation.
The programme delves into a curriculum that, of course, covers the basics—accounting, finance, marketing, negotiations, supply chain, AI, and Data Analysis—but will go way beyond the basics with real-world case studies taught by experienced practitioners.
“We believe that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a venture; it’s about embracing a mindset of innovation and resilience,” said Prof Bhagwan Chowdhry, Faculty Director, I-Venture @ ISB. “ivi is not an ordinary programme; it’s a journey where vision meets venture, and passion meets purpose.”
At ivi, students will engage with thought leaders and industry experts and have the opportunity to connect with ISB’s global alumni, top VCs, experienced founders, and esteemed faculty members.
“We want to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations,” said Saumya Kumar, Director, I-Venture @ ISB. “They don’t need a college degree or prior business experience; all they need is a passion for innovation and a willingness to embrace the challenges of entrepreneurship.”
A cohort of 50 students across disciplines, functions, and age and gender enters the programme, every 6 months.
Admissions will open from May 2024. The programme fee is INR 8 lakhs, which includes on-campus stay. Scholarships are available, and funding of up to INR 40 lakhs will be given to teams who qualify after 6 months.
ivi welcomes individuals from all walks of life to join on this transformative journey of innovation and entrepreneurship.
