Football Championship Held at KIIT World School, Jhajjar Emerges Winner

Gurugram, Feb 13: A grand State Level Chief Minister Cup 2026 Football Championship was successfully hosted at KIIT World School, bringing together talented teams from across Haryana. The tournament formed part of the ongoing Chief Minister Cup initiative aimed at identifying and promoting sports talent from across the state.

In an exciting final clash, Jhajjar defeated Panipat with a commanding 4–1 scoreline to clinch the championship title. The winning team was awarded the Gold Medal along with a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Panipat secured the runner-up position, earning the Silver Medal and a cash award of ₹70,000.

In the third-place playoff, Hisar edged past Bhiwani with a narrow 1–0 victory, securing the Bronze Medal and a cash prize of ₹50,000.

Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Neelima Kamrah highlighted the importance of sports in holistic education. She stated that such tournaments play a vital role in building confidence, discipline, and team spirit among students, while also providing a competitive platform for young athletes. She congratulated all the winning and participating teams for their performance and sportsmanship.
