Hyderabad, October 18, 2024: The UK-based company’s Indian arm, Claranet India Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based technology services company located in My Home Twitza Raidurg, near T-Hub, donated today 25 high-end sparingly used laptops worth INR 32 lakh to PURE – People for Urban and Rural Education, NGO.
The 25 laptops include ten I-5 Dell Latitude 3420, three I-7 Dell Latitude 3420 and six Lenovo ThinkPads. The laptops are almost new pieces with full warranty with home service.
The team Claranet comprised Srujani Choudhury, HR Head India, Syed Wasay, Finance Head India and Akshay, In-Charge IT and Security and other staff members participated in the brief handover function. On behalf of PURE, Ms Aruna Dara accompanied by other team members graced the occasion
The laptops through PURE will be presented to poor rural girls in government schools very soon.
Laptops can be important for students, especially rural girls in many ways, such as accessibility, effective participation in academic activities, better comprehension and performance, portability and flexibility. Laptops play a key role, especially in the era of unlimited online resources and learning opportunities.
Srujani Choudhury said ‘as a committed company, we take account of our social, economic and environmental positive impact and are passionate about such CSR initiatives.
By donating used laptops, we reduce e-waste and put more effective use of laptops and it also amounts to much-required support to the local communities as well as helping them to access technology, added Syed Wasay.
PURE is a volunteer-led organisation. Founded by an NRI, Ms. Shyla Talluri, founder and CEO, PURE focuses on Education, Girl children, Shelter homes, Special Assistance, Indigenous populations, Livelihoods and Youth leadership. It works in India and the USA. It has made footprints in Uganda, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Kenya, Barbados, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago.
PURE has impacted over 100,000 children and 500 public schools in India, with influence in numerous other countries – and counting.

Many companies have unused devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones or desktops in usable condition. Such devices, if donated, can be repurposed and put to good use.
