Panchkula, May 15: Paras Health Panchkula celebrated Mother’s Day with a special event that also marked the official launch of its dedicated Mother & Child Care Unit, reinforcing the hospital’s focus on comprehensive maternal and child healthcare services in the region. The event was attended by Dr. Mukta, Project Director (AIDS), as the Chief Guest, along with mothers, healthcare professionals, dignitaries, and members of the community for an afternoon focused on maternal wellness, awareness, and the importance of accessible healthcare for women and children.
The celebration featured interactive activities, maternal health awareness sessions, wellness engagements, and discussions around the need for integrated, accessible, and patient-centric healthcare for mothers and newborns. The newly launched Mother & Child Care Unit at Paras Health Panchkula has been designed to provide comprehensive services, including obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, Level-3 Neonatal ICU, paediatrics, preventive care, and specialised support for mothers and children under one roof. Ms. Minu Deepak Sharma, Founder – Tricity Women Entrepreneurs and GWE, also attended the event and appreciated the initiative focused on maternal and child healthcare awareness.
The unit will be led by a team of experienced specialists including Dr. Vandana Mittal, Principal Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Dr. Amber Aggrwal, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynaecology; and Dr. Arpna Bansal, Senior Consultant – Paediatrics and Neonatology, who will further strengthen the hospital’s maternal and child healthcare services.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mukta appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of strengthening healthcare infrastructure dedicated to mothers and children. She also emphasised the need for accessible healthcare services and awareness-driven community engagement to improve healthcare outcomes for women and newborns.
