Mumbai: Children’s day is an occasion for every child to celebrate with joy and happiness! To keep up with this spirit, B.J Wadia hospital for children’s had organized fun activities for kids patients at therapy park to spread smiles and cheer on the faces of all pediatric patients- a small reason to rejoice amidst this pandemic.
This event has been specially designed for kids including activities such as a clown show, puppet show, and story narration in various languages for patients in the hospital. The function was inaugurated by the hospital CEO Dr. Minnie Bodhanwala and it was Conceptualized by the physiotherapy department Head Dr. Urmila Kamat and supported by the Lions Club of Juhu.
The unique feature of this event will be the Bravery awards which would be given to pediatric patients who are survivors of chronic diseases and disabilities across different pediatric specialties. Bravery Awards have been conceptualized as an effort to recognize these children who rise above their disease and disabilities to become achievers.
“The various events organized on the occasion of this special day dedicated for children, with an aim to boost the morale and confidence within the patients suffering from the various diseases from the pediatric ward, of Wadia hospital. Hence, Bravery Awards has been organized to notice such children who are suffering from serious diseases and still carry ambitions to become something in their future,” said Dr. Minnie Bodhanwala, CEO of Wadia Hospital, Mumbai.
“We would also be planning a motivational talk by children rehabilitated and now achieving the pinnacle of success in this challenging world. Hearing first-hand success stories leaves a strong and positive message for every parent,” added Bodhanwala.
This show which is one of its kind will be held in a therapy park in our country at B.J. Wadia Hospital; uniquely designed for remediation, rehabilitation, and recreation of children.
