Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in parts of Odisha during the next three hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather warning, issued through the IMD’s nowcast bulletin at 12 noon, covers Khordha, Cuttack, Jajpur, Puri, Mayurbhanj and Nayagarh districts.
The alert also includes Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities, where residents may experience rain and thunderstorms during the warning period.
The weather activity is expected to bring temporary changes in local conditions, with lightning posing a potential risk to people outdoors.
The IMD has advised residents to remain alert and keep track of further weather updates, particularly if conditions deteriorate.
