CHICAGO, August 12, 2025 — Effective 1 August, HDI Global Insurance Company, the U.S. carrier of international Corporate & Specialty insurer HDI Global SE, has appointed Fellipe Aguiar as the new Head of Energy & Power Underwriting U.S. for its cross-division Energy & Power Unit. His team will manage complex risks across downstream and midstream energy, chemicals, conventional power, and renewable energy sources, combining operational and construction risks in one team. Aguiar’s appointment, a proficient expert with extensive experience, reinforces the strategic positioning by the insurer in the Energy & Power sector. The newly created role underscores HDI Global’s commitment to supporting clients and brokers worldwide as their preferred Partner in Transformation, addressing the challenges of the energy transition.
Fellipe Aguiar (48) brings over 26 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on the Energy and Power sectors across Latin America and the United States. He draws on deep technical expertise in Energy, Power, and Renewables and will serve as the primary contact and expert for business related to the Energy & Power sector to further expand HDI’s market presence.
HDI Global’s Energy & Power Unit combines cross-division expertise worldwide to meet clients’ needs for streamlined and focused processes. Aguiar’s team will make use of HDI Global’s vast value proposition within the areas of International Programmes, where HDI is a global leader, captives, alternative risk transfers and AI solutions.
