NEW YORK, August 28, 2025 — The Knot Worldwide, a leading global marketplace and family of brands championing celebration, today announced two strategic additions to its executive leadership team: Bar Ifrach has joined as Chief Product Officer, and Anu Penmetcha has been named Executive Vice President of Commerce and Consumer Experiences. These appointments underscore The Knot Worldwide’s commitment to innovation, product excellence, and delivering exceptional experiences for users and small businesses worldwide. Both based in New York City, Ifrach’s first day with the company was August 25, 2025, and Penmetcha joined the company in June.

In his role, Ifrach will oversee a global team across Data, Design, and Product. He brings extensive experience scaling two-sided marketplaces and driving product innovation for fast-growing technology platforms. Most recently, he served as Head of Product Management at Faire, an online wholesale marketplace. Prior to Faire, Ifrach oversaw Marketplace and Data at Uber Freight, leading teams that built and optimized Uber’s freight business. Before that, he spent five years at Airbnb leading Data Science for Airbnb Homes, the company’s core accommodation business, and was responsible for marketplace optimization, pricing, monetization, and vertical expansion.

As EVP of Commerce and Consumer Experiences, Penmetcha oversees Registry, Invitations, The Bump, The Bash, and the experience of wedding guests when they visit our site. Penmetcha brings over two decades of experience driving innovation and growth across retail and technology organizations, including leadership roles at Meta, TikTok, Hudson’s Bay Company, and Deloitte Consulting. At TikTok, she built and scaled commerce ads products and forged partnerships with Amazon and Shopify to create unique TikTok shopping experiences. At Meta, she led product marketing for retail monetization solutions, including launching Facebook and Instagram Shops.
