Aluminium Futures Edge Higher on Demand Uptick, Fresh Buying Activity

New Delhi, May 20: Aluminium prices rose in futures trade on Wednesday, supported by fresh buying from traders and a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for June delivery increased by 0.42 per cent, or Rs 1.60, to Rs 385.20 per kg, with trading activity recorded across 164 lots.

Market analysts said the uptick was driven by speculative positions built by traders, along with steady demand from industries that consume aluminium.

They added that overall sentiment in the metal market remained mildly positive, helping support price gains in futures trading.
