Kolkata, 9th April, 2025: Techno Main Saltlake’s premier annual technical fest, Edge, organized by Team Geekonix, is set to make a grand return for its 19th edition. Having commenced in 2007, Edge has grown into one of India’s most anticipated tech fests, bringing together students from over 100 colleges to engage in cutting-edge innovation, technology, and competitive spirit.
This year, Edge introduces the thought-provoking theme “NAVI 19° North”, an acronym for Navigating Ages Vectoring Inter-dimensions. Inspired by the concepts of Einstein’s General Relativity, the theme replaces the traditional hourglass with a compass, emphasizing the importance of direction in addition to time. The narrative follows ELuFaS, a protagonist navigating through four distinct eras—Elysian (harmony), Luminous (radiance), Fading Light (twilight), and Shadow (darkness)—each contributing to the creation of a powerful compass guiding through space time.
Beyond its technological celebrations, Edge also embraces social responsibility through Edge Deeds, a philanthropic initiative that has successfully completed five phases, further strengthening the fest’s commitment to giving back to the community.
“Edge has always been a symbol of innovation and exploration. With this year’s theme, ‘NAVI 19° North,’ we encourage students to chart their own paths in the ever-expanding realm of technology and discovery. The festival not only fosters technical acumen but also strengthens leadership, creativity, and social responsibility through initiatives like Edge Deeds. We are excited to welcome participants from across the country to celebrate knowledge, talent, and the boundless possibilities of science and technology”, said Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.
