Kochi, Aug 13: Aster Medcity has launched the Aster Genetic Study, an advanced DNA screening programme, that analyze an individual’s genetic blueprint to flag hereditary risks for cancer, heart disease and thousands of other conditions years before they surface. While conventional health check-ups only evaluate current health status, this innovative genetic test, developed in partnership with SugarStrings.ai, analyses an individual’s unique genetic blueprint to reveal inherited risk factors, enabling personalized healthcare strategies, earlier surveillance, and informed medical decisions often years before clinical symptoms appear.
The Study Package delivers a 360-degree evaluation of genetic health by analyzing every gene across multiple key health areas. The comprehensive test screens for 188 types of hereditary cancer risks, provides actionable insights into 302 hereditary cardiovascular conditions, and analyzes 6,952 other genetic diseases. The programme offers precision medicine insights by evaluating how an individual responds to more than 300 different medications, allowing clinicians to tailor treatment plans with higher accuracy.
