New Delhi, Sep 16: Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan released A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva, authored by former Telangana Governor and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Parul Singh and senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh attended the book launch and interacted with the Vice President during the occasion. The event was also attended by Shri Amit Khare, IAS, Secretary to the Vice President, along with other distinguished guests.
During her interaction with the Vice President, Parul Singh, President of the Delhi Paralympic Committee, exchanged views on sports, social service and the importance of creating greater opportunities for persons with disabilities. The interaction also touched upon the role of sports in promoting inclusion and encouraging wider participation.
Speaking about the interaction, Parul Singh said, “It was a privilege to meet and interact with the Hon’ble Vice President. We spoke about the importance of taking para-sports to a wider audience and creating more opportunities for athletes with disabilities. There is a lot of talent among our athletes, and with the right support and platforms, they can achieve much more.”
Rakesh Kumar Singh said, “It was a warm and meaningful interaction with the Hon’ble Vice President. The discussion around service and social responsibility was particularly relevant to the occasion. As journalists, we also have a responsibility to bring stories of people and initiatives that are making a difference in society to the public.”
The book A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva documents 100 accounts of seva and the social-service journey associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh over its century-long history.
The launch brought together guests from different fields and provided an opportunity for discussions around service, social responsibility, sports and public engagement.
