Ahmedabad Hosts First World Yogasana Sports Championship; PM Modi to Join Virtually

Ahmedabad, June 4: The first World Yogasana Sports Championship begins today in Ahmedabad, marking a historic step in taking Yogasana to the global sporting stage.

The five-day event features athletes from several countries competing in standardized Yogasana disciplines focused on strength, flexibility, balance, and precision.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the inaugural ceremony virtually and is expected to highlight India’s role in promoting Yoga and Yogasana as a global wellness and competitive sport.
