IHCL Expands Kerala Presence with a New SeleQtions Hotel in Athirappilly

Mumbai, Sep15: Indian Hotels Company, India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a SeleQtions hotel in Athirapilly, Kerala. This is a conversion and expansion project.

Athirapilly, with its proximity to the iconic Athirapilly Falls and easy access from Kochi, presents an attractive opportunity to further strengthen our presence in the state. The signing is in line with our focus on expanding our portfolio across distinctive leisure destinations. We are delighted to partner with the Kshema Group for this project and bring the SeleQtions experience to Athirapilly.”

The 100-key IHCL SeleQtions Athirapilly, Kerala is being developed in two phases. The first phase comprises the existing 37 operational keys, while the balance inventory will be added as part of the expansion. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a wine and beer lounge and a rooftop dining experience. For meetings and social gatherings, the hotel will offer spacious banquet venues and meeting rooms. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa with multiple treatment rooms.

Located in Athirapilly in Thrissur district, the hotel is situated on the banks of the Chalakudy River, adjacent to the famous Athirapilly Falls, the largest waterfall in Kerala and one of the state’s popular tourist destinations. In close proximity to Cochin International Airport, Athirapilly forms part of leisure itineraries connecting Kochi and Munnar.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 25 hotels in Kerala, including 07 under development.
