Chennai, Sep 23: Chennai’s grandest inter-school quiz competition, Casagrand’s Battle of Brains, is back with its second season, in association with Nexus Consulting. Schools across Chennai can now register teams of two students from Classes 6 to 10 at no cost. Registrations are open until October 5, 2026, giving schools an opportunity to nominate their teams for the second season of Battle of Brains. The second season brings bigger rewards worth ₹7 lakh.
“Battle of Brains” is a one-of-a-kind, city-wide inter-school quiz competition designed to bring together Chennai’s young minds for a test of knowledge, awareness, critical thinking and quick thinking. Set to take place from October 10, 2026 to November 15, 2026, the quiz will witness some of the brightest young minds compete for the prestigious title and exciting rewards.
The first season saw enthusiastic participation from over 250 schools across Chennai. Sachin Sathyasivan and Perri Karthik Chidambaram from B. V. Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidhyashram School were crowned the champions of Casagrand’s Battle of Brains 2025, winning exciting prizes worth ₹4 lakh along with the prestigious trophy.
The second season aims to raise the bar with more participation, exciting rounds and bigger rewards. The competition will unfold across multiple stages, giving participating teams the opportunity to progress from the school level to the zonal rounds and, ultimately, the city-wide final. The winning teams from the zonal rounds will advance to the City Final, where they will compete for the Battle of Brains Season 2 title and the honour of emerging as the city’s quiz champions.
The second season will also extend the quizzing experience beyond students with a dedicated Parents and Teachers Quiz, giving them an opportunity to take on their own live quiz challenge. Featuring buzzer questions, visual rounds and a rapid-fire segment, the quiz will offer rewards and gifts worth ₹2.5 lakh, adding another dimension to the city-wide celebration of knowledge and participation.
