Chennai, August 23, 2026: Athulya Geriatric Care Hospitals has launched the Athulya Senior Priority Programme, a dedicated initiative aimed at making healthcare more accessible, convenient and age-focused for senior citizens. Marking the launch, the hospital has also announced a Geriatric Vaccination Camp, offering a 15% discount on vaccines from August 21 to 31, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Through the Senior Priority Card, members will be eligible for 15% off on OPD consultations and outpatient laboratory services, 50% off on ambulance services within a 0-5 km radius, and 5% off on inpatient room rent and pharmacy services. Members are required to present the card at the time of registration or billing to avail themselves of the applicable benefits, subject to the programme’s terms and conditions. The card is issued exclusively by Athulya Geriatric Care Hospitals and is non-transferable.
The Geriatric Vaccination Camp is being conducted with the aim of encouraging older adults to make vaccination an integral part of preventive healthcare. Vaccines available during the camp include Influenza, Pneumococcal, COVID-19, Shingles (Herpes Zoster) and Tdap.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Srinivasan G., Founder & CEO, Athulya Senior Care said, “As healthcare needs evolve with age, we believe that senior care must go beyond treating illness to focus equally on prevention, accessibility and continuity of care. The Athulya Senior Priority Programme is an extension of this philosophy, bringing together healthcare benefits and senior-focused services to make seeking care simpler and more accessible for older adults. Through initiatives such as the Geriatric Vaccination Camp, we also hope to encourage seniors and their families to take a more proactive approach to preventive healthcare and healthy ageing.”
Dr. Agasthia Bharthi, Deputy Medical Superintendent & Head – Emergency Medicine, Athulya Geriatric Care Hospitals, said, “Older adults can be more vulnerable to complications from certain infections, making appropriate vaccination an important component of preventive healthcare. Vaccines against illnesses such as influenza, pneumococcal disease and shingles can play an important role in reducing the risk of serious infection and its associated complications. We encourage seniors and their caregivers to discuss their vaccination needs with their treating doctor, particularly when there are existing health conditions or other individual risk factors. Regular health assessments, timely vaccination and early medical attention together can contribute significantly to healthier ageing.”
