Once limited by severe pain and restricted mobility, these individuals completed a 10K run—marking a significant milestone in their journey toward active and independent living. Their stories highlight how advanced orthopaedic care, combined with determination, can restore not just mobility, but confidence and quality of life.

Among them, 71-year-old Mr. Basangauda, a former SBI staff member, had lived with chronic knee pain for over a decade. After undergoing bilateral total knee replacement at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, he progressed from assisted movement to independent walking within two months—and went on to complete the 10K run.

Similarly, 42-year-old Mr. Dileep Kumar Satani, a software engineer, struggled with debilitating joint pain for nearly two years. Following robotic direct anterior total hip replacement in both hips, he returned to a pain-free lifestyle. Completing the 10K run marked not just physical recovery, but an emotional milestone, as he described feeling “complete again.”

Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Hoskati, a 30-year-old police officer, had been battling persistent pain that affected her demanding duties. After undergoing robotic direct anterior total hip replacement at Fortis Bannerghatta Road, she is now pain-free, active, and back in uniform—successfully completing the 10K run.

For 40-year-old Mr. Anoop Singh, years of chronic pain had impacted both his personal and professional life. After undergoing robotic-assisted total hip replacement in both hips, he is now on the path to recovery, returning to daily activities and even pursuing his passion for biking—culminating in his successful completion of the 10K run.

Dr. Narayan Hulse, Principal Director Orthopaedics & Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, said:

“Today, joint replacement surgeries are not only about reducing pain but also about restoring independence and enabling patients to lead active lifestyles. With advancements such as robot-assisted surgery, modern implants, and structured rehabilitation, patients can recover faster.
