CCI Approves General Atlantic’s Additional Stake Acquisition in Acko Technology & Services

New Delhi, August 18, 2026: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of additional shareholding in Acko Technology & Services Private Limited by General Atlantic Singapore ACK Pte. Ltd.

The proposed transaction involves General Atlantic increasing its stake in the Indian insurtech company through the target’s Rights Issue, with the additional holding crossing the 25% threshold on a fully diluted basis.

General Atlantic Singapore ACK Pte. Ltd. is an investment holding company incorporated in Singapore and is affiliated with General Atlantic investment funds. The funds provide capital and strategic support to growing businesses across sectors including technology, healthcare and life sciences, infrastructure and real estate, financial services, consumer businesses, and climate and sustainable infrastructure.

Acko Technology & Services is an Indian insurtech company with three wholly owned subsidiaries—Assurelink, Acko General Insurance and Acko Life Insurance.

Acko General Insurance and Acko Life Insurance hold licences to operate as general and life insurance providers respectively, expanding the group’s presence across India’s insurance market.

Assurelink is awaiting a Corporate Agency Licence from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to undertake insurance policy distribution in the country.

Acko Technology & Services also holds investments in other entities. The CCI approval enables General Atlantic to increase its shareholding in the company through the proposed Rights Issue.
