Students can now earn dual degrees up to 80 Indian academic credits alongside their Pearson qualifications, giving them an additional academic option if their overseas study plans change.
Aug 24: As students planning to study abroad look for greater flexibility in their higher education journeys, having an academic route that allows them to adapt to changing circumstances can provide greater confidence to students and parents. Responding to this need, The WorldGrad is now giving students an additional academic option by offering Indian university credits alongside its Pearson-accredited study-abroad programs. Students enrolled in The WorldGrad’s Global Year 1 Program will receive 40 Indian university credits in their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). and DigiLocker, equivalent to one year of an Indian undergraduate degree, while students completing the UK Advanced Accelerator Program will receive 80 credits, equivalent to two years. These credits can be used to transfer to other Indian universities as specified under the National Education Policy, 2020. The Indian qualification and credit component is enabled through Medhavi Skills University, with students receiving a corresponding university diploma alongside their Pearson qualification.
Students undertaking the Global Year 1 Program will receive a Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) and a Professional Diploma from Medhavi Skills University, while students in the UK Advanced Accelerator Program will receive a Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) and an Advanced Professional Diploma.

The international qualification component is provided through The WorldGrad’s Pearson-accredited programmes. The Pearson BTEC HNC and HND qualifications are accredited by Ofqual, the UK government department responsible for regulaing qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. The corresponding Medhavi Skills University diplomas provide students with an additional Indian qualification.
